About
Hi, I'm Joey.
Vice Captain of Elecoldxhot (ECX), a Malaysian elite street-dance crew built on hard-hitting synchronization, battle-stage energy, and a drive to push local hip-hop culture forward. The crew took Bronze in the Adult division of the 2013 Hip Hop International World Championship in Las Vegas.
I'm a choreographer with about twenty years behind the craft, and my main line of business is training non-dancers into performance-worthy performers for corporate events: annual dinners, launches, celebrations.
When an event calls for professional talent, I bring a cast of professional dancers with custom choreography, produced end to end.

Who is Joey?
Joey (stage name Montut) runs Montut's Choreo Space and is one of Malaysia's most acclaimed choreographers, with two decades of experience and 50+ titles. He trains non-dancers into performance-worthy performers for corporate events, directs music videos and commercial shoots for artists and brands, and is Vice Captain of the elite crew Elecoldxhot (ECX).
Is Joey an award-winning choreographer?
Yes. Joey's titles include 8TV Showdown Champion (2011, 2013 All-Star), Astro Battleground Champion (2012) and First Runner-Up (2011), Hip Hop International Vegas 2nd Runner-Up (2013), and World of Dance People's Champion (2014). His crew Elecoldxhot took Bronze at the 2013 Hip Hop International World Championship in Las Vegas.
Does Joey choreograph corporate annual dinner performances?
Yes. Joey has choreographed corporate staff performances for over 15 years, including the Press Metal annual dinner in Klang, Bintulu and Mukah (12+ years), the SP Setia annual dance competition, and clients like Ambank, EcoWorld and Prudential.
Does Joey work with artists and music videos?
Yes. Joey offers personal refinement training for artists, and choreography and direction for music videos, including work with the local sweetheart duo Thomas and Jack and McDonald's Malaysia's 6 Nugget Sauce launch. He also choreographs commercial shooting for launches, products and promotions of any kind.
